Our education project, launched in 2019, has been a beacon of hope. Starting with 35 students, We’ve grown to serve 140 students in the current school year. This growth isn’t just in numbers; we’ve been able to provide enhanced teacher training which has significantly improved educational outcomes.
This year, we also celebrated a milestone with our dorm project, welcoming its first three tenants. Despite construction challenges, the support from First Baptist Church of Rockport, The Baptist Fellowship of Randolph, and East Brookfield Community Church has been invaluable. This allows us to bring in teachers from diverse areas, enriching our students’ education in Sonice. We also got to witness the pure joy on students’ faces when they received books and backpacks for their school year.
However, we still face challenges. We have continued needs for building repairs, school
supplies, and teacher support. While nearly all our resources are going to support education, we have many other community services that also require urgent attention.
