Dear Friends and Supporters,
Bonjou! The 2023-2024 school year, much like the past four years, has been incredibly challenging for Haiti across all sectors. Our school, Enstitisyon Wayal (Royal Institute), has remained a beacon of hope since it opened in 2019, even amidst the chaos and demonstrations of “Peyi lòk” (locked country). We firmly believe that education is a key to help lift Haiti out of its longstanding oppression.

This year, we proudly served an even larger number of students, growing from 35 in 2019 to 150 in 2023, many of which you see in these photos! We’re deeply grateful to our friends and supporters who have helped sustain our teachers over these years. Despite the critical situation around us, our students achieved an impressive 86% success rate in their exams.

So far your donations have allowed us to compensate our hardworking teachers. We now face additional pressing needs for building maintenance, school supplies, and furniture to handle the growing student enrollment.

As we look forward to the new school year starting on September 3rd, 2024, we invite you to join us in making an even greater impact. Your continued support can help us provide a safe and enriching learning environment for our students, empowering them to become the leaders and change-makers Haiti so desperately needs.
Bon Vakans (Have a great summer)!
